Smores, anyone?by ahjennyComment by Yo_Spiff: A lot of high ISO grain, and the whole image seems soft and a visually flat. Perhaps some adjustments could help it a bit. Not sure though. I do feel a snack attack coming on, however, so this shot was effective in that regard. |

Aquariumby ahjennyComment by Yo_Spiff: I like this, it nicely captures the little boy's fascination with the aquarium. (Your son, I presume?)
Possible changes that could give it some of the elusive "wow-factor" we are always chasing:
-Shoot from low, at the child's level.
-some selective editing could bring out the reflection of his face in the glass. I almost missed it in the busy scene behind it.

Smores, anyone?by ahjennyComment by hideout: Nice flame and burning marshmellow, but overall, food images need to be in sharp focus because they should represent "appetizing". |

In with the washby ahjennyComment by mark082: Ok, I get the "hidden treasure" in the shot, but the flat lighting really hurts this one. It's also pretty tough to make a washing machine interesting, although I've seen other mundane objects treated very well before. //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=747607
Mainly, I think this could have used some better lighting and maybe some brightness/contrast work in post processing. |
