Hey David. I voted this a 7. I thought it was a humorous and creative take on the challenge and not what I was expecting to come across - which is a good thing IMO. The out of box thinking doesn't always garner you high scores, but I would assume you are getting some praiseworthy comments for the idea. Execution wise the lighting may be a bit harsh as the shadows are pretty sharp on your model. I think you could have fared well with a slightly heavy handed edit, making it a tad bit more cartoonish - maybe making the keys a bit more quickly recognizable by appearance rather than just the idea (with them laying flat and the harsh lighting they kind of go blah on the eyes). Your model has a great frustrated look. Overall though I am not sure if there was much you could do editing wise or anything to really effect the score much. The out of the box thinking is probably what is hurting you most - but again that is what I appreciated in this image.

I pulled an idea like this in one of my very earliest entries. The concept of "so near, yet so far". Mine bombed, but yours is much better.

In thumbnails, this seemed too far off topic, but in voting, the larger semi-abstract effect is prety interesting.
