archetypalby xburnerxComment by moodville: First thing I spotted was the line on the left, and after trying to work out what the black line was connected to in the image I realised it was a border. In other words I think with a detail-orientated image that it distracts a little by becoming part of the image rather than highlighting it. The image itself is good, I like the sepia toning, and the texture of the stones/rocks are good, esp with the dappled light. I'm not sure if you used a wide-angle or telephoto lens or whether the track is like that, but the perspective seems almost buckled in places. |

archetypalby xburnerxComment by brewinj: I think the added black border detracts because it runs right thru the handle. But also thru too many of the elements of your image. Would've liked it better without. |

archetypalby xburnerxComment by leaf: decent... fairly good exposure... i don't like the framing.. it 'just' cuts off the handle on the top.. and makes my eye leave the image. i assume it was taken with a wide angle.. making the tracks curve... the image allready has lines going everywhere then the frame you added to add more lines.. is distracting. |

a blindnessby xburnerxComment by Kavey: I'm not quite sure I understand the title/ theme/ message here but the image has some interest - I like the light and shadow shapes in the snow in the patterns of the tracks and feet. Even with that hanging sign there doesn't really seem to be an interesting focal point or structure. |
