just so to clear it up...there was no wide angle lens involved in this. thats the way the tracks were. :D

i really like this shot a lot but something just wasnt right about it to me...i kept coming back to it and finally realized it was the border inside the picture that was distracting

The frame lesses you score badly by cutting off the handle.

First thing I spotted was the line on the left, and after trying to work out what the black line was connected to in the image I realised it was a border. In other words I think with a detail-orientated image that it distracts a little by becoming part of the image rather than highlighting it. The image itself is good, I like the sepia toning, and the texture of the stones/rocks are good, esp with the dappled light. I'm not sure if you used a wide-angle or telephoto lens or whether the track is like that, but the perspective seems almost buckled in places.

I think the added black border detracts because it runs right thru the handle. But also thru too many of the elements of your image. Would've liked it better without.

This is good as a sepia with intersting backlighting, but the black inset border is distracting to the image.

decent... fairly good exposure... i don't like the framing.. it 'just' cuts off the handle on the top.. and makes my eye leave the image. i assume it was taken with a wide angle.. making the tracks curve... the image allready has lines going everywhere then the frame you added to add more lines.. is distracting.
