Greetings and Happy New Year from the CC. I think as mentioned your shot needs to be in focus and maybe crop out the n, if you are trying to make a statement about 'god'. It is slightly over exposed and the reflections are a bit distracting. The composition is interesting and macros are always interesting for the details in them , however it is hard to see the detail IMO, because of the light and unfocused nature of the shot. However, I suppose it is possible these aspects are because of a statement in which case those are choices only you can make,,,IMO.... hope it helps... happy shooting!

Comment by HBunch:
This looks like it has some funky effect applied. can't say I'm real fond of it. I would much prefer this to have been clearer without the effect. It is a quite powerful image. I like the angle and the background works well too. The edge is very clear, and fits the challenge perfectly in my opinion.

a lot of \"photographers\" like to use words like \"distracting\", \"exposure\", \"color\", and other multi-syllabic jargon to throw you off.. don\'t listen to them, they\'re probably just here trying to impress their girlfriend/boyfriend.. this photograph is special to me, because it just screams: \"GOD\".. very unsettling actually... but special.. i guess.. hrmm. my thoughts on GOD... EXISTENCE IS RELATIVE TO THE INDIVIDUAL MIND- take THAT, philosophy and religion... if you believe something exists- to the point of its \"existence\" (be it \'false\' or not) having an affect on your life.. (a very real affect) then why, pray tell, would you go around telling people that they\'re wrong and you\'re right? (now, \"existence being relative to the individual\" is my own \"over simplify everything\" concept/theory. not unlike your \"god\", the legitamacy of my existence theory can\'t actually be disproven... or proven for that matter.. (but at least i\'m not pushing my belief over anyone else\'s.. )
hmm.. what is the non-physical reality called again?

7 (cuz i like the colors and texture)

Seems to be pixelated and over-exposed.

I am not sure whether this is grainy or just looks this way. I would have used a bit more diffused lighting here. Othewise a nice macro shot. :-)

This is a great idea! The resolution is very low in my opinion. It makes what I would call an inviting scheme into a very static image.

Comment by GoodEnd:
It seems very pixelited. The texture apear to be taken with high digital tele or the crop was magnified so much. Try to do it with macro mode of your camera.
