Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment by tvsometime: Brilliantly staged and photographed. Perhaps the only image in the challenge which faithfully represents the book as I remember it. Well done bw. 9 |

Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment by Bear_Music: This works rather well with the novel :-) The expression of the central boy's not entirely convincing, but the unexpected face in the lower left is priceless. I like the matter-of-fact processing and the artless composition. By "artless", I mean that it doesn't seem forced or unnatural or contrived, it feels spontaneous.
Very nicely done, 8 from me. |

Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment by snaffles: Some boys playing with sticks in the woods. By their expressions I'd guess they're meant to be hunters. I'd expect to see them a lot more scruffed up, like with scratches and bruises on their arms etc (hey, it's October - you can get fake blood and scar tissue anywhere) than they are to add some authenticity to the scene. |

Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment by lunachicken: Love the snarls! Definitely right out of the book. The black and white are a little flat. Would definitely like more on the dark scale, particularly with this story. 6 |

Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment by eniko: I loved the book. I'm not sure that it captures the essence of the plot - perhaps it looks a tad too staged. Black and white works and I like the fact that each boy is shown in different degrees of detail. From me a 5 |

Lord of the fliesby nygoldComment by emoons: Pretty cool shot. I like how you can see the bones of the kids. Makes it look like they have been in search of food. The best part of the photo is the kid in the bottom left...just peeking out a little.
Gave it a 6 |
