I really like this wintery scene. It does look very strange to have a kite in the sky. I would have liked it better without the kite. It distracts me from your entire compostion. None the less it is still a very good picture.

Great shot! I love it. Very nice landscape/winter subject matter. Only has too much noise (get free download of Neat Image) and you could have cropped out about an inch on top. Also, not sure, but horizon looks slanted, but I'm not sure if this is actually the contour of the land. Though the kite is small in relation to the rest of the image, I like the way it's colors contrast with the duotones. This image has a lot of mood and impact for me and even though it doesn't appear to meet the challenge theme, I will give it a good score. Well done!
