LOVEby instepsComment by Rooster: very cool mac shot. Love the heart formed by the shadow, goes well withthe title. Bumping it up to an 8! |

LOVEby instepsComment by coolhar: I really like that the background has texture, so much better than the plain, solid white ones |

Dragonby instepsComment by carlacryptic: A Critique Club comment: I already commented on this during the voting period but will try to add some constructive details to this post. The rythm is great, the bamboo and the handle/dragon on the left and leaning towards the right, balanced by the red chops on the right and the open space in bluish gray. I still think the lack of focus on the chops is distracting and not just because I read Chinese. I think it's because it weakens the right side of the image a little bit and takes the eye away from the central subject. Perhaps blurring the background further would have worked better since if the chops were in sharper focus they would take over the image. The clarity of the handle and dragon head are good but the highlights on the dragon's body (near the top) and 'mane' are a little distracting also. Overall, I think it's a good image which would benefit from a little more focus on the dragon without changing it's location in the shot. |

LOVEby instepsComment by HRoxas: well-thought composition. simple but very artistic. I think the color, framing and the subject all fit nicely together for a very good photograph. Nice job. 9 |

LOVEby instepsComment by FranziskaLang: I like how you've entertwined the thread and the needle, and the shadow really adds, too. The texture of the background and the uneven lighting (where it was curved) is a little distracting. Overall, good composition and focus. |
