Good composition, not-so-good Photoshop blur (plainly visible around the Cardinal and top leaves). Not really enough detail for a magazine cover (though it might have been perfect if you had a longer zoom). Nice choice of subject.

This is a colorful photo with an interesting subject. To me, it seems the blur has been added in post processing and for some reason, it takes away from the quality of the picture. It looks as if there was a lot of sharpening done around the bird or maybe the mask that was used wasn't feathered enough? I use the eraser tool when doing masks to get more control over the edges.

Nice subject, interesting foreground... good use of dof. Compositionally quite imaginative. I really don't like your background though which is too similar in colour to your bird. There is too much texture in your background which takes the attention away from the bird.

too much of a soft focus effect applied, there is a red line around the bird as result (don't forget to feather if you make a selection...)

I would like this cropped closer. The leaves seem unnaturaly blurry. Like the red/green contrast.
