Congratulations on your high placing for an original take that meets the challenge well.
What a lovely original idea that works well and in a humorous way too, we all like to laugh and smile. I love your attention to detail and the detail you have captured, in particular the mans face and expression and the eager anticipation of a sumptuous meal that is oh so going to disappoint!
The lighting is excellent it emphasises the lint meal, the utensils are bright and nicely reflecting the surroundings and we then move slowly up the lovely detail of the fingers towards that darkness from which that wonderfully expressive face appears. The only minor thing I can make any criticism of are the overblown highlights on the pepper pot in the foreground, apart from that the image is perfect, very engaging.
