I like this idea very much. I think the focus on the hand is off a bit an while I know that the instrument is played with both the use of bot hands, I think you might have considered not having the second thumb covering the valves and having the small place to hold it steady. Also the background is just too close in color to the horn and a richer darker color might have been better.
