leaves make a great shot for texture, especially the underside of them. what hurts your shot (in my opinion) is that it's not in focus. did you maybe get closer than your camera can focus at? i do that a lot with mine and it always beeps as if it has focused and then i upload the photos and they are all unsharp... sigh. -- gr8photos (3)

I know that soft focus may be a matter of choice, but when you want to show texture, it just doesn't work. Soft focus hides texture, it doesn't bring it to the forefront. But that's just me :)

did you mean for it to be blurry? I would have preferred it sharper. A little brighter would have been good too. But I like the leaf as a subject, always good for texture.
