Hmm, I like your idea, but I think there needed to be more light on it. The arm of the record player blends in with the record itself too much. I like how you have some shine to the bottom-left, but a little more would have given you a few more points from me. 4

To get the "blue pen", I augmented contrast and luminosity, and then desaturated red, yellow and green with the "Image--Adjust--Hue/Saturation" option in Photoshop. I agree that the challenge topic is not really well empasized here, but I'm happy with the result. Thanks for all your votes and comments.
