Absolutely gorgeous birds, their color is wonderful, and they do make for a great subject! I'm probably asking the impossible, but would have liked to have seen a tighter shot, with shallow dof, the entire background is so "busy" that it distracts my eyes considerably. If nothing else, then a tighter crop to make the birds appear to be the main subject rather than a "part of a bigger picture".

perhaps cropping the blue sky completely out of the left side would have drawn more interest to the trunk...good clarity and color usage

I like this picture, as the background colour is so vibrant and one can almost feel the texture of the trunk. I do have to say, however, that I feel that the tree trunk is a shade too strongly lit.
