Great idea...made me laugh. Maybe would have liked to see you crop to just the mat, but love your creativity!

Excellent use of frame within a frame. I might have positioned the bowl a bit more centered, but it's not overly distracting. I'd love to see this reshot with a nice set of chopsticks (mayve red?) and carefully measured out. This is a very cool shot! 9

Closer framing would have been better, difference between the two backgrounds doesn't fit in. Like the composition though...

Well done! The eyes wanders naturally with the light to the tiny grains in the center from the sticks and reflections of the bowl. I love the colors and texture. I wonder whatit would have looked like if you put the camera even more straight downwards tilting and forward so that you could have done a more straight crop on the table. And also maybe try a softer light on the sticks. GJ

Very good use of backlight on a subject which benefits ftom the light deliniating the perimeter and the transluscent subject, eliminating a frontal light.

Thanks for adding a comment. I'm only new to this and apprciate all the help I can get, but as I am only learning could you please translate this comment into plain english.

I think it means: Good job backlighting. Nice outlines on your leaf. Good detail of the veins without using a light in front.

What I have to say is: Wow! I really love this, the colors, the slight blurriness, the thickness of the border, the hot spots, and the tears in the leaf. I have a wall downstairs that needs some pictures, and you've given me inspiration for a collection of artwork!

You wanted feedback from the lower scores. I grade from 1 to 10 on several things. This is a cute shot of a baby. I've seen thousands of them. In a challange I look for creativity along with a good photograph. This is a good photograph but not very creative.

I don't know how I missed voting for this one on school days, but I would have given it a 10
