Actually there are 8 vanishing points in this frame. In the whole panorama there are 31 VPs.

You have the right idea with vanishing point here. The key thing is lighting. This looks like it was shot around 1-3 in trhe afternoon. The lighting is overly harsh, and doesn't lend anything to the scene. A polarizer might help pop out the color a bit. The better bet is to come back around 6-8pm and get the same image in changing light. That will give it more depth.
