ROFL Great title. I'd like to see the three on the left all on the same plain. Good perspective on this shot. Maybe a different colored surface would have been more appealing. Even solid black would work for more contrast!!

As a parent myself, I definatly feel that a child is a branch of a mother or father. Cute kid, by the way. I see where several improvements could be made. One is that the childs foot is cropped off. For this image I feel that it would have been better to have the entire body, or in a different pose from the waist up. Another suggestion would be that if we could see what the little photographer was shooting. I love that he is squinting, that is sooo cute. The colors are nice but the brick wall is kind of "bla". Overall I think it was a great try for the branch challenge. You went out of the box and didn't photograph a tree branch. You are so brave!! Good luck with future challenges!!!

Well, it meets the challenge just fine, it's interesting, funny and nicely photographed. And you had a patient significant other who held a pose very well for you.

Composition is good, nice neutral background. I like the spot of red in the skating shoe. I see nothing negative in this image. Maybee a tad over-sharpened. Oh, yes. Someone pointed out your typing wasn't so good in the title. Ooops.

I like it. Keep up the good work.

cutting him off athe mid calf was unfortunate, IMHO either get all of him or crop tight enough so I dosen't look like a mistake. Of course cutting out the grass would mess up he nice interplay of colors you have going on so....
