"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by WJM: This is a good, natural shot. The lighting is very good, and the paper plate on the plaid table cloth accentuates a 'country living' theme. A very nice composition. Good job! |

"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by boyte1: When looking at the thumbnail of this I didnt think that I was going to like it. But seeing the full size I really like the colors and composition. Looks like its setting on the kitchen table.Good work 8 boyte1 |

"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by jsabbarton: Good composition, good lighting, high quality shot. Meets the challenge. But, there's something not quite right that I can't quite put my finger on; perhaps it's subliminal – only I can't abide pearsâ€Â¦ (7) |

"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by chrisab: The pears are very attractive, but the background doesn't add anything to the picture. 5 |

"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by HBunch: We have those same paper plates! I think they add a nice touch of color behind the pears. The focus and clarity are great. I love the detail on the pears. The background behind the plate adds a bit of "coutry" look. The angle and framing is great. I like how the pears are off centered, rather than centered. Great job. Good luck in the challenge. ~HBunch7187~ |

"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by Jak: Very nice image. A more pleasing plate might have pushed me to an 8 or 9. 7 Jak |

"Anjou Pears"by WillaComment by karmat: I like the composition of this and the way the plate curves through the picture. Teh colors seem a little off to me, though. They blend together. Maybe if the pears had been brighter, and the plate was a solid color and it was on a contrasting surface it would have more punch. Still a nice job, though. karmat |

Cracked Bubblesby WillaComment by Willa: Well, in response to 'nightfall's' comment, I'm sorry my photo confused you. No, it was not shot through a mirror. The crack is in the back of the doll. For those who were not sure, I am fairly confident that this photo is in perfect focus. What you are looking at is the back of an old composition material constructed doll. The doll's name ("Bubbles") is obvious as is the date, etc. I thought this was explained in my description, but anyway, thanks for looking and commenting! I got a lot of comments about the "too dark on the left" and "too light on the right" thing, and now that it has been kindly pointed out to me, I am still not sure I agree with it, because I was attempting to use the light to emphasize the age of the subject and also to make the letters stand out. Apparently I screwed up on the light, but I did my best. It was fun to get both good and bad comments. |

Cracked Bubblesby WillaComment by nightfall: this shot has me confused. is the crack in the container itself? it almost looks like you shot the bubbels in a mirror which had a big scratch on it or something. well anyways, I like the lighting gradient. |
