Fractionby TrexXComment by Journey: This image reads to me as a nice experiment but I stil think "so what; what is this image trying to tell me?". Why are these pencils in the water other than for purposes of an experiment? The refraction and the water make for pleasing effects. 5 Journey |

Fractionby TrexXComment by lmhr: the idea is great, not too crazy 'bout the lighting though... |

Fractionby TrexXComment by drewmedia: Really interesting photograph -- made me look two or three times to figure out what was going on. I'm not sure I like the framing... both pencils originate and end without any real anchor to the frame of the photograph. The large amounts of 'blank' (water) space are kind of disappointing, too. Perhaps you could try reframing this vertically? |

This is where something new is at...by TrexXComment by stephan: I like this photo a lot. I like the lighting from the back, I like how it portrays "something new". Technically I don't see much I would improve. Maybe an additional light source from the side to make the golden pins of the processor more shiny. One of my favourites this week. -stephan |

This is where something new is at...by TrexXComment by HBunch: Oh gee...I know nothing about computers. This looks like a computer part to me, but if you asked me what it does, or the name, I couldn't tell you. So, setting that aside, I will say that the focus and lighting are good. I like the color and it almost looks like you can kind of see though it in some places. The placement is good, and straight withing the frame. Good photo, yes. Something I could stare at for hours, no. That's just an opinion, my little brother would probably have it hanging in his bedroom. lol. Good luck with the challenge. |
