ok, so old is a relative term. the problem is that all of the people voting will be older than this little girl, so to them, she is young. you might have tried putting her next to a baby to emphasize the relativity of the concept of age. other than that, it's a great shot, and I get your point, so I'm going to score it well.

Wow, this is actually a great photo. She looks much older/wiser than her age... and I can't put my finger on what aspect exudes that. This is beyond photographic technique.
