My favourite Buddha of the challenge. Lighting perfect on the face, graced by that bit of sunlight on his right temple(!). Though I agree the background/leftground(?) leaves something to be desired.

I think there is a bit too much of the background, also if the background was a bit more blurred/shallower DOP it would have more impact

I like the tight focus on the statue - however, the blade of grass (or whatever) that seems to "stick out of" the eyebrow of the statue is a distraction - I think you should have removed it and retaken the shot.
