I like the lines in the water - the marvellous deformation of them from the ripples; a pity, perhaps, that they couldn't be more in focus, to make this less of a simple portrait of the bird.

If I had entered this one I might well have done a rabbit, too :-) Those ears are perfect for a diagonal image and the mixed-up ear look is precious. Good detail, clean pic, like the crop and/or rotation to get the ear and head on a perfect diagonal in the frame. The shadow is a bit harsh and the background lighting doesn't follow the diagonal.

I think maybe his is a little to light and maybe a tad over sharpened. Some shadows in the grass in the front would have in my opinion really made it stand out. I also would have like to see the crop a little higher and the reflections a little darker to frame the branch as the focal point.
