Skull of a Monkfishby pallComment by ArnaMarie: Nice capture! If I were to comment on something then it would be that I think I would prefer a little less saturation in the sky |

No gradient applied, but the conditions were extra ordinary because of air pollution from the volcanic eruption in Holuhraun in North Iceland at that time. This is shot with 70-200 mm f/2.8 with a x2 extender @400mm. |

Reynisdrangar sunriseby pallComment by sacredspirit: So many great poems can go on this photo, inspirational verses, or scripture and the like. But here is why I say this...I'm not a professional, I'm on the outskirts of the art, but when I see this shot the first thing that pops into my head, is poetry. I like to think this shot in itself is poetry, and not just poetry, but the warm graceful kind of poetry, which is exactly the kind I subscribe to. Nature, and life. Beauty, and cycles, you have simply caught it in photo form, which some great skill to posses. A top choice for sure. Good luck with the stiff competition that is out there. |

Distant mountainsby pallComment by pall: Originally posted by MadMan2k: Looks like a landscape from another world. I like the layered mountains and the desolate foreground. Is it the aftermath of a forest fire? |
This is a lava field near Volcano Hekla. |
