A Place She Never Got to Enjoyby tenebrousComment by Kavey: I don't like the fence, although I appreciate fully it's significance in the subject matter. I like the overgrown nature of the shot, and the b/w really conveys the sadness and bleakness. On the composition front I am struggling with a point of focus between both the slide and the other ride thing, and the cactii - the shot seems to busy for me. Is the fence referring to the title or did something bad happen to the child? If the fence connects to the title, it's a good thing, if not, not so good. 7 Swash |

A Place She Never Got to Enjoyby tenebrousComment by HBunch: To me...this looks like a child looking through a fence at a swingset in someone elses yard, that has long since overgrown with weeds grass and sticks. The lighting is good. I would like to see the whole swing set. maybe a wider view of the same shot. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |
