Seems a little out of focus to me? The lines are a little boring, straight across and straight up and down. Try adding a few diagonal lines to increase visual interest in your shots.

They searched frantically. Calling his name, fanning out across the park. Their cries echoed among the trees. Their desperation growing with every moment, but he wasn't to be found. One minute, he was there. The next, gone.

Barker sat there as he had for centuries, and smacked what passed for his lips. That one has tasted just fine. Yes, just fine. He grinned an evil, inner grin as the calls for the boy echoed around him. With a slow and groaning movement of his trunk, a single tattered shoe popped out and rolled to the ground. His hunger was sated, and he would sleep once more.
