Comment by Kavey:
Strangely appealing but I want to crop a lot off the top.

I like a lot your picture. Good work on paralel lines here. Even horizontal, vertical or diagonal, the composition remains neat. The colours, although a bit improbable, give me a feeling of comfort. It seems you work very well with abstract images.
Good luck.

This may be a photo of you, but to me, it doesn't really fit the definition of a portrait. Even if I weren't considering that in my rating, the picture as a whole doesn't do much for me. It seems out of focus and since the focal point (you) is so small, dark and undefined, there's not much to look at.

Im assuming that you hit the timer and ran around the parking structure before the timer finished but at least you could have stopped and at least been in focus for the shot.

Excellent idea and framing with vertical thirds - wish I'd been as adventurous! - Only thing I don't like is it looks a little washed out. IMO a little more colour/constrast would have lifted the whole scene - well done for an 8

Greetings! I did not see the movie Matrix, so I do not know if this relates to it or not. I did however have several Algebra classes in school and this shot reminds me of those crazy problems that were set up in columns or something. I think they were called matrices, or something like that.

This shot has an eerie feeling to it, I think. If you look at it long enough, and try to imagine what must be being reflected, you can start to see all kinds of things. Then, the eye finds the calm patch in the lower right and rests there, giving a moments respite, it seems. I like that the lines are not perfectly horizontal or vertical. This too, adds to a sense of being off-kilter, adn adding tension.

I think though, that many people may have felt it didn't have a specific point of focus. It would make a good background/wallpaper, etc. because it does seem flat, with little or no depth to it. Though the reflections (I think that's what they are) are interesting, and serve a definite purpose in the picture, it does leave the viewer wondering what the meaning of the picture is (especially if this was outside a challenge).

Best to you in future challenges.

For more impact you might skew the lines even more.
