This looks like a painting. It's too much processing (I hope I'm not being presumptuous!) Honestly, I don't know where the photo ends and the enhancements begin. The shot is composed very very nicely. Everything about this works for me, except it doesn't look real! I'm still going to score it high, since it is really well done.

This has an extremely "classic" feel to me.. like something out of the pages of a 40's or 50's magazine. Nostalgic in a way. The B&W/duotone method you chose here is gorgeous, and only enhances this image. The selective desat on the eyes, as well, is an enhancement, and is just subtle enough to not be overpowering.

Great job. I think, perhaps, this is *the* best B&W/duotone effect I have ever seen on a digital photograph.

II think this is quite atraditional type studio shot, but well done just the same, the highlight in the background behind the rh dog is distracting perhaps over lit but I love the easy pose and cofidence of the dogs, I can see this on the owners wall 8
