The child's eyes convey boredom well, and I like how you've cropped it. However, the picture needs to be sharper, the lighting and contrast could be better, and the background is distracting. The photo comes off as kind of flat.

Well, he definately looks bored...I'll give you that. I assume the soft focus on the eyes was intentional -- but there's a reason that it's a general rule to focus on the eye -- because that is the part of the photo that is going to hold the most interest -- the viewer's focal point. Everything else should just build itself around that. Good shot...just a little more thought and I think you'd do much better.
