I think a little less of the foreground should be out of focus. It seems a bit top-heavy, in my opinion. Great subject!

Love the look on his face. And of course that he's a redhead!. I think the image is a little small and the crop a little tight. However, I think the focus is great, the colors are great, the DOV and POV great. Composition is a little static due to the tight crop. 7 - good luck in the challenge!

This is a nice, crisp shot complete with decent depth of field. Pretty nice composition too, though I would have cropped just to the right of its head. This photo would do much, much better if you had used the full 640 pixel size allowed. Definitely a nice shot, but very few will give you a decent score due to size alone. I suggest you read up on sizing your photos for the competitions in the tutorials section, I think you'll do much better on the next challenge you submit to if you use the full 640 pixels. I'm giving you a 6, but you likely would have got an 8 or 9 if this were bigger.
