Fox Tower War Memorial.by JunieMoonComment by muur88: good idea. i would have exposed more for the sky...it feels a bit blown out to me. and i don't think the stone work would have been hurt by a bit more underexposure. if you had the ability to change your aperture, i think it would have been nice to increase it and throw the trees as out of focus as possible or tighten it so everything was crisp. though i understand how hard it is to judge something like that looking at the camera's screen |

Fox Tower War Memorial.by JunieMoonComment by fifield: the tower looks like it's slanting just a little to the right. also, the composition doesn't work for me; your subject is dead center, and then you've got huge trees on the left. |

Toadstool Still lifeby JunieMoonComment by ezekiel8: I think this would have worked better if you had made the toadstool the central focus of the picture. I feel that the leaves in the foreground detach from the texture of the toadstool. Perhaps if you had taken this from a different angle with the leaves in the background? 7 |

Prickly Circleby JunieMoonComment by MrsFuzzButt: Saw your post about wanting a challenge excluding DSLR users and requesting that people look at your photos and tell you if you are wasting your time. I am not familiar with your camera, but I can tell you that you do have a good eye. The problem with this particular shot is that it is noisy. Look at the thorns... all around they are pixelated. Now this could come from your camera itself (I don't know anything about your camera so I can't say for sure) or it could come from the resizing. What size do your images come out of the camera at? Is all that noise there on your original? Have you thought about using another editing program like Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop? Feel free to PM me and we can chat. |
