The subject is interesting and attractive. The lighting does a great job describing to the viewer the shape of the crane. Unfortunately, most of us are used to wildlife shots of birds that more completely blur the background. Fortunately this background is full of fine-textured things, but somehow enough of that texture is evident to distract one's attentions from the subject. Finally I find the cranberry splotch on the crane clashes a tiny bit with the yellowish green of the background and find myself wondering whether a touch of selective desaturation would not fix this problem.

I agree with you that this is a cool shot! Nice job with the framing of the lights in the lower third of the image. I also like that everything is black except the H O P E candles, with a nice perspective view on the whole thing.

Just in case you don't get many views, I should let you know that on my little laptop screen, the thumbnail is pretty much entirely black. But the full size shot looks fine.

For some reason, the lighting on this looks too harsh, almost like a direct flash. Try bouncing it off of some white foam board.
