Hi Mark. I really like the perspective of this shot on a subject that is larger than life. I can see a few things which I feel may have hindered your submission from getting a higher score. Firstly, the shot seems to be somewhat washed out. Had you sharpened the image a bit more and used shadows/highlghts, it may have drawn out greater detail. Secondly, the columns edges appear to have some "sawtoothing" on them. Not knowing what your origianl was like or at what iamge quality you had been shooting, I'll say you may have cropped too small. Along the "frieze? line" I can see that your contrast is out of whack. This is a very delicate thing to tune and it mushed out that part of the photo. I believe these elements had cost some points. Good luck in future challenges.

Really nicely done. I like the mysterious look of the cat and it's perpetuated by the allure of the full moon. Nice detail and perspective. The lighting showcases the whiskers well too.

I love this shot! It is timeless as mentioned. And we (Americans) tend to be so hung up on the human body and what is and isn't appropriate. This is genuine childhood curiosity and I'm sure brought a lot of smiles and maybe a few memories back to many!

I really only have one thing to say. Excellent Job! This is such a lovely photo. So peaceful. Your focus and clarity are awesome, and DOF really adds a lot to this photo. The branch is definatley not the main focus of the photo, however, there is a branch in the photo, so I think that it fits the challenge nicely.
The background is wonderfully green against the browns of the forground. Blurred nicely, no distractions there.
I was going to say that I wish the photo were just a bit brighter. Maybe some extra lighting in there somewhere, however, as I sit and look at it, I think it's the browns that really make the photo for me. Expecially the brown whispy things at the top which I think are maybe pine needles. So, really I think that if there were more light in the photo, then it wouldn't be the same color wise.
I really see no reason to not give this photo a 10. Great shot, wish I could offer more in the way of improvement, but I just don't see anything I would like to have seen done differently. Congrats.

I like the perspective. The coloring on the columns seems...odd in some way, but I can't quite put my finger on why - sorry.

ROFL That is great. I remember getting in trouble because somebody had me do that behind the door at a friend's house. LOL

I wonder what the category in Greeting Cards would be? Congratulations?

Priceless is quite the perfect word for this one! What a wonderful moment. What a capture. Technically, it is even sound, focus and exposure good, and you've nicely avoided any background clutter so often present in family, candid, type shots. I look at a photo like this and find it is amusing (downright hilarious in this case), and at the same time charming and endearing. I look at it, and it allows me, if even for a brief moment, to escape the stress and worries and problems of being an adult in this world, and to remember and appreciate the really important and prescious things. Children are a special gift. This is just wonderful, thank-you for sharing!

Amazingly wonderful image. New meaning to the term "ants in her pants"... Not only does this capture the (priceless) moment, it's also technically flawless re: lighting and focus. Instant favorite.

Thanks for the smile! With three kids around here they are always doing something funny - most of the time a camera isn't there at that "moment". You caught that "moment". Wonderful!!! ;^)
