Good idea and meets the challenge. The white beans have good color to them and stand out well from the background, with just the highlights a little blown. Because of the dof used the black bean (or is it blue?) looks somewhat like a dark blob. I'm assuming you were going for the ostracized look, which does work, but I think having the black/blue bean be more in focus and more defined would be better, even possibly moving it to the lower right hand corner.

pleasant lighting, nicely composed, but she looks like she's not sitting comfortably there and sitting by the fire is all about being comfortable. her knees sticking up in the picture are distracting in my opinion.
