Autumn Colorsby KenComment by HarveyG: Fabulous scene from the middle of the lake or so it appears. Simple, serene, appealing. 9 |

Lead Me Homeby KenComment by blindjustice: I love the wide screen look. You have captured all the wonderful qualities I remember from fall as a child, a fall full of 1970's wall murals across from the living room fireplace, fat lapels on autumn rust colored leisure suits, and giant cookbooks full of crock pot recipes with technicolor illustrations. |

Lead Me Homeby KenComment by CNovack: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The scenery is indeed beautiful and serene and best enjoyed in person. The composition is good but it lacks a main focus - something for the eye to follow and take in as it is exploring the photo. As it is now there is so much for us to look at at once that I don't know where to look first. The path is a good start but it is lost among all the fallen leaves on the ground and the towering trees. Had the path been high contrast (just the earthen path with no leaves) it would have been a good leading line welcoming/beckoning the viewer to take a stroll off into the woods. |

cherubby KenComment by bsluijk: This deserved a much better fate than 62nd place - in my view this was the best picture in the challenge. Technically a good shot (sharp, well exposed, good composition, effective non-obstrusive background). But more than that I like the profound look the little girl has - she looks right into my soul. |
