It's not a bad photo, I like the composition and even the somewhat harsh lighting. My problem is that it kind of don't make sense to a knowlegable fisherman. You have three types of fishing represented. The rod and reel are for fly fishing the Memps spinners are for a spinning rod and reel and the bobbers are mostly for kids to use with their closed face Zebcos. It would be better to have had flies and maybe a hint of a fishing net with this rod and reel. Hope that helps!

I dont like the tether, maybe you could have cloned that out- I find it draws my eye away from the focal point and the centre of the image.

If you re-crop the photo so that the cat and the light were the main portion of the photo - i think the photo would have come off better. The blackened right half of the photo make the image seem only half there.

The glow in the photo from the light is quite nice, but the composition of the image and distractions such as the lights off the pot on the stove detract from the good stuff.
