An interesting image that meets the challenge
My initial reaction to this image was somewhat negative but the more you explore it the more it grows on you in. The door acts as a perfect frame for the main subject and the landscape beyond and whilst it all feels a little soft for shooting through the glass, in a way this actually enhances it in a dreamlike way which suits the challenge brief perfectly. I have mixed feelings about the persons head in the lower left, its a shame she wasn’t looking into the frame that would have really enhanced it. Whilst I try to be positive about it I think it does detract and would have benefited from being excluded from the frame. A few things that really make the image for me are the perfect interaction of his rod with the window corner, the natural unposed candid nature of this frozen moment in time and the lighting of the landscape.
I think its a shame it didn’t do better in scoring but I can understand why because its an image that you need to spend some time with absorbing the content and mood fully, especially in terms of the challenge brief. It’s unfortunate for you but also your voters because I think they missed its hidden qualities. Thanks for your intriguing entry Marco. |

An interesting image that meets the challenge well.
Welcome back to DPC after too long an absence! I have mixed feelings about the lighting for your entry and the choice of the three glasses and liquids. I rather think it would probably have been more effective with just the right-hand glass. I like the base of the glass the way the lighting has illuminated the area around the base and stem. To a lesser degree the middle glass works a little but the red glass fails to impress it adds nothing to the end result. Perhaps the two glasses would have worked better. To be honest, I think you may have tried to be too innovative with the laser lighting perhaps a straightforward setup may have been the way to go?
Sorry you didn't get any comments during the challenge, I hope this helps. Thanks for your entry Marco. |

Not bad but I do see some issues with your shot. 1st of all I like to see the flowers off center like you have done. I think that adds some interest. Also there are some very nice pastel colors. (that works perfectly for this challenge.) However it does seem that the focus is off. I would have liked the flower in the foreground very crisp and clean (it looks slightly fuzzy). Then the other flowers in the clump slightly out of focus. Unlike quiche comment below, I think your crop is fine. That little blob doesn't bother me a bit. Happy shooting. |

I often like photos where there isn't anything in sharp focus, but in this it looks accidental rather than deliberate. Nonetheless, a pleasing entry for the challenge. |

Color and implied softness worthy of the challenge. I like the variation of yellows. Not so much the upper left brightness or the expanse of deep green to the right. |
