When I looked at this I thought she must be about 3. I see I was correct. :-) Now what on earth is the controversy all about?? She's 3! If she was 12 or something, fine, but no one looks at a 3 year old and thinks they should cover up. In my honest opinion, the only kind of person who could point out a 3 YO's nipple is a paedophile.

David was clearly way out of line with his comments (I wish I could say it were just one...). Over half of the photos of me as a child were topless or bottomless, and I'm quite certain my dad was not a perv. Getting to run around half naked is just a perk of being a kid. In fact, if my dad would have told me to put clothes on for the photos, I probably would have been pouting rather than wearing a big ol' smile. There's nothing wrong with her for being shirtless, and there's nothing wrong with you for taking the photo and posting it. With your careful composition, there's nothing to even see! This is a beautiful child doing what she does. Your granddaughter is well under the age that anyone should even be remotely thinking of sexual thoughts.

It's a beautiful photo, Maria. Thank you for capturing the scene and sharing it with us.

You know, Maria this is a super great photo of a beautiful child. It could be I am so very opposed to harming children I likely let it get the best of me. I actually thought it was a winner, a 10 for sure. You were too close to the subject to see what I was seeing. Anyway, a bit of PS to lighten the area I pointed out and a wall hanger for sure.
