a birthday wishby chucksinncComment by CalliopeKel: I would have liked a little more grain here. But this is nice and I can see it. Im just really wanting some grit in this challenge. The photo itself is really good. Gotta love a good dog portrait. |

a birthday wishby chucksinncComment by macrothing: 7 - This is a great shot, but for this Challenge I can see very little 'grain', but can see how you have used it for effect here, but to me (and could be wrong) seems it is the 'toning' which adds the most impact here. Criticism; not much as, as you know, I really like this, maybe the dog's nose sharper, some whiskers showing, but then that may take away from the 'softness' on the upper face/head and ears. Like the ball(?) in the background, adds a good element and even more character. Just wish this had heavier grain for the Challenge, especially 'around' the dog. |
