Boundby gjumiComment by agenkin: Again this elongated rectangle! Does your Pentax have a specially shaped sensor, for landscape photography, perhaps? :)
Anyways, I don't know the movie that was recreated, and, of itself, this photograph has no appeal for me at all, sorry. |

Calligraphy IIby gjumiComment by agenkin: That "thing" and its shadow are a *great* find, I love them. The texture that fills the rest of the frame is also nice. But, somehow, this picture is not working for me. Perhaps it's the strange compositional decision of placing the wire thing into the mid-top part of the photo. |

Taxiesby gjumiComment by agenkin: Yes, you need the top part for precisely the reason you gave. This is a great choice of subject. What I don't like here is (1) lack of an accent (the pattern itself is not an accent, there must be a "raisin" in the bun), and (2) the elongated format of the image.
I can see that you are having fun with your new DSLR; this had a long way coming, good luck with that! :) |

Tiredby gjumiComment by option: Theres alot of clutter and confusion here. I have a hard time making out the subject as he is a dark figure against a dark background. Having him against a light background with a tighter crop would improve this shot by a large margin. |

Tiredby gjumiComment by smyk: this isn't a portrait in my opinion. It's more candid than anything else i think. You might get voted down for that I think. A;so the focus seems to be off. good luck |

Calligraphy IIby gjumiComment by gjumi: Thanks for visiting this photo, voting it, commenting on it, and above all, appreciating it. I apologize to "where´s the fence?" group, but anyhow, I expected some might miss it. I had to rely on the "some fences are decorative" part of the challenge description, hence entered. |

Calligraphy IIby gjumiComment by ralfw: This is a really cool shot! I don't think the "fences" folks will go crazy over it, but don't get frustrated by that! Well done!
This composition calls out to me. |
