At first I thought I didn't like this shot. On second look, I see the idea easily comes across as a once beautiful guitar showing it's age. The picture is simple.

Wow, what an idiosynchratic item and this is a great portrait of it. I really love your lighting and choice of shallow DOF which have combined to work their magic on the strings and the little bokeh circles of reflected light. The colours and textures of the paintwork are beautifully presented.

Thanks everyone for your comments. They were all enlightening, including the negative ones. In retrospect I should've taken a more interesting photo of the vehicle. My thinking at the time was to make it look like an authentic ad, and that taking a more interesting photo just would've been incongruent. I had the idea to go to the airport and get some shots of people kissing in the car and use that in the ad. I think that would've done better, although I'm not sure it would've made that much of a difference.

On the bright side, there's nowhere to go but up (well there is last place) from here!
