Regal Pineby 777STANComment by pineapple: That pine is lime green! Never seen one like that in my life. The positioning of the tree in your photo is rather good. I would just prefer no lens flare and deeper colours. |

Regal Pineby 777STANComment by KaDi: High key is interesting but the foggy area on the trunk and the too blown-out branches in the upper right corner keep me from wanting to stay with this image and explore its detail. |

Fountains At Duskby 777STANComment by fas-ligand: The purple of the water is a little distracting for me, unless I could see the color from the setting sun in the sky as well. |

Regal Pineby 777STANComment by electina: This overexposure could have been effective if there wasn't the bright slash of light in the left side. It's really distracting. Try increasing the saturation a little and cloning out the bright spot and this could be a really interesting shot. |

Bright Ideaby 777STANComment by 777STAN: Well, This one was an experience! Don't feel bad if you don't get the idea. That's because this photo never became as clear in my mind as the rest of my photos did.
The best I can offer is that "Bright Idea" is actually comic irony. I had hoped to portray the concept that as the Day of the Candle began to fade, the Day of the Lightbulb began to "turn on," but right about that moment someone had a "brain hiccup" and tried to improve on Edison's idea by putting a lightbulb on a candlestick.
That didn't work so he started to scratch his head...
Technically, I used an old school desk with photo backdrop cloth draped over it. On the "seat" of the desk I placed a styrofoam packing crate stood on its end. That became the pedestal for the "burning" candle. Apparently, the Zoom Radial blur filter got me DQed because I was trying to convey the idea of zooming forward in Time! Oh, Well! :) |

Fountains At Duskby 777STANComment by Alain: This picture is under exposed and very noisy. On the better side, it fits the challenge well. Good luck. |
