My Room Through A Teacupby lamentComment by spiller: Sorry this has no meaning when I look at it. I can't tell what it is except from the title. It looks out of focus, maybe by purpose I don't know. Other than being blue I can't see why this shot was taken. |

My Room Through A Teacupby lamentComment by Turbotech: Hmmmm. How about some studio Gels so you can change the light. Not augment the image. Remember people have to look at this stuff and find intrest in it. This is not pleasing to the eye. |

My Room Through A Teacupby lamentComment by Wes: nice attempt at abstraction, though too abstract to be a partially abstract photo and not interesting enough in a purely abstract sense to be a quality photo. |

Hey, Come Back!by lamentComment by lament: Thanks! Of course I know it would be better if the paraglider were closer, but he didn't wait for me :) Everything happened in seconds. Oh, and the ground the dog standing on is actually a slope, going down at about 45 degrees - I couldn't possibly get closer to it. Photojournalism is scary :) |

Hey, Come Back!by lamentComment by BigSmiles: I like this picture! It honestly would have lost alot of its value had that dog not been there. IMO your composition would have been a little stronger had the paraglider taken up a little bit more of the frame.. been just a little bit bigger.. if you didn't have that haze there he'd get lost in the commotion in the background. You really want to make the subject pop out from everything else. Having said that if the person was slightly larger the haze would be a real drawback to the picture... but since he/she is so small it helps to separate him/her from the background. The only real thing that detracts a whole lot from your image is all those jpg artifacts! The sky looks really choppy because of your compression or possibly the quality of your camera. Good compression habits can help to improve the artifacts even if your camera isn't of the best quality... and i do believe there is a thread about that somewhere as well. Not a bad finish considering :) Good job |

Hey, Come Back!by lamentComment by Gracious: I like this composition but the haze really detracts from the overall image. The only thing you really could have done is use a polarizing filter. The moment is beautifully captured. Grayce |
