Interesting. I too had considered using a high contrast treatment for my fly pic to see if it improved. You did a nicer job of this than I. Your DOF is better managed too IMHO.

I like how crisp the eyes are from cell to cell.

Edit: negative changed to High Contrast... Voting too late got my words all mixed up.
