Great idea for unusual subject matter. I think the time of day may have impacted this photo by bringing out a lot of harsh shadows. Would like to see this early am or late evening, or in a cloudy situation so that letters and water could stand out better.

The focus on your foreground is way stronger than your subject that it overpowered it. I wonder if this will look better if you cropped it tighter and eliminating the big rock on the left portion of the photo. I wish to see that as your outtake once the challenge is done.

Good color but lighting is still on the strong side.
