Pains Hill Cobhamby redfigComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Redfig...
Is this water frozen? It has that appearance and I can't really tell. I particularly like the tree in the upper left corner of the frame. The dark shapes that it provides make it stand out nicely in this image. I also appreciate the 'foreground' in this image. I have seen several landscape photos recently that make me think I'm standing in the water as I view it... I think this foreground in your shot gives the viewer a nice solid entry path into your landscape.
The pinkish color toning seems a bit strange. I think that it possibly removes some contrast from the overall image. I also believe the photo is a bit 'soft' and could possibly use a quick pass of the sharpen filter to make the details stand out a little more...
Keep up the good work :)
John Setzler

Who`s Got Bottle by redfigComment by lisae: Nice study. I can't fault this technically. The subject matter is a little dull, but it's a very good photo. |

Egg Tby redfigComment by jimmyn4: Greetings from the Critique Club.
I must say yet another fine photo from you.
I think this was a difficult challenge because part of it was to make the viewer laugh. I didn't laugh at this photo only because I don't get it. So in those regards I don't believe it met the challenge. I think this photo being taken on a tee box at a golf course with someone about to hit it would be better.
This is very clear and sharp photo. The contrast is brillant and I honestly couldn't think of a way to improve you technique. I think you choose B&W very well and I look forward to seeing more of your photos in future challenges. Other than not being all too humorous this was one of the finest shots of the week. |

Who`s Got Bottle by redfigComment by carsten: I like this very much. Great composition and focus. The composition is very good and so is the sepia-look. One of four favourits this week. Good luck. |

Who`s Got Bottle by redfigComment by karmat: Great focus and good job capturing the details on the glass with minmal light reflections. Something about hte composition has me off-kilter though. I think it is because the front glass and the back one are "almost" lined up, and it feels like the back one should be scooted to the left just a touch, and the other three rotated counterclockwise to "fill" in the spaces. Still, that is probably just me. Great crop, and an overall great picture. |

Who`s Got Bottle by redfigComment by nathaliedoo: Beautiful picture but since we're talking about milk I would have liked it more if more white than brown... nice shot! |
