Greetings from the Critique Club.
I must say yet another fine photo from you.
I think this was a difficult challenge because part of it was to make the viewer laugh. I didn't laugh at this photo only because I don't get it. So in those regards I don't believe it met the challenge. I think this photo being taken on a tee box at a golf course with someone about to hit it would be better.
This is very clear and sharp photo. The contrast is brillant and I honestly couldn't think of a way to improve you technique. I think you choose B&W very well and I look forward to seeing more of your photos in future challenges. Other than not being all too humorous this was one of the finest shots of the week. |

This puts a whole new perspective on the American beer advertising slogan touting "born-on dating." |

Excellent composition and lighting. I love the simplicity of your image and it's very well thought through. To be honest, it didn't make me 'laugh' as such, however I see the humour behind it which certainly meets the challenge. The clarity is also wonderful. Good luck this week. |

Very good shot! Eggcellent detail! Good contrast, too. How in the world did you get the print on the egg? Fine balance!!! 8 Swash |

Some may not see the humor in this, but it a nice commentary on life that everyone needs to cover their @$$, even the chickens! |

I love the composition but I'm trying to figure out the gag here. Nice shot regardless. Jacko. |

Cool picture! Interesting letters on the egg. Not sure of the significance of that, but then again I don't golf. |

I've never seen an egg with an exp. date on it. Good shot. |

I really love the concept here and it is a very nicely executed photo but the date mark is really distracting and takes away from the form of the egg in my humble opinion. |

Fun idea, would have had more strength with a little more: shadow of a golfer, club in movement, golfer shoes etc. good image but a bit lazy. |

Nicely done. Egg-selent focus and clarity. (ok, sorry, that was bad) The texture and detail on the egg just jumps out. The background is great. Nothing distracting there. I like the DOF. Lighting is great. You did a great job with this photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

I''d love to see a fast shutter speed "action-stopping" shot of a golf club striking the egg. |

So it's an egg... on a golf tee... Not really rib-ticklingly hilarious. If you'd had a golfer hitting it and getting splattered with egg white, that would have been more like it. Nice photo though. Perhaps too brightly lit on the right hand side - you lose the texture of the egg there, which is beautifully captured further to the left. |
