Please Missby redfigComment by moodville: The colors, or lack thereof, are a good choice for the subject. I do not really like the narrow crop, but that is more of a personal preference. I believe the challenge was met. |

At Last Springby redfigComment by joanns: Beautiful - wonderful detail and lighting. I love the way you composed the shot with the flower face down. And, the lovely, refreshing water drops are a nice touch. I think that you would have been better off with a white border rather than the off-white but I don't make down for borders, it's just a suggestion. |

At Last Springby redfigComment by Malokata: Odd that you chose to cut off the petals the way you did, I think it was a bit much at the bottom. Some parts are a little blurry, but all in all a good shot. |

At Last Springby redfigComment by jmsetzler: The water drops add a nice element to this shot but the exposure on the white petals may be a little bright overall.. - setzler |

Pains Hill Cobhamby redfigComment by TIPLIZARD: This is a great picture,The composition leads the eye through the picture, a very calming scene, I think the sepia works well, giving it the feel of a victorian landscape. The lake appears to be frozen(is it?)
which adds to the victorian feel,as the long exposures they used give the same effect to their photographs of scenes with moving water in them. |

Peel + B4by redfigComment by inspzil: Greetings from the Critique Club

Composition - Firstly you have some outstanding color here. I like the very bright hightlights on the orange. The fleshy peels look pretty good. The crop is a little tight for my liking. The shadows on the peels are a little distracting as well. I would've like to see the emphasis be more on the orange and a little less on the peels. Composition overall is pretty good though. Great idea.
Technical - Photography is terrific. Well taken , nicely focused, Good sound photo. Processing - The orange looks almost too orange, to the point it looks fake. Other than the crop being a little tight, It looks great
Overall - This is a difficult picture to critique because its actually a pretty good image. You did a good job with this. There are only a couple of minor things that I think you could change to make this a better image, to this voter anyway. Keep up the good work! -Inspzil |

Cliclowerby redfigComment by Annida: Good Afternoon from the Critique Club :)
My first impression of this shot was that the composition was superb, and very very well thought out. I also think to improve the composition a bit, you could have brought the center of the flower a tiny bit lower so we could see more of the pedals.
My impression is that the light was well placed, you can see the water droplets perfectly. The center of the flower is a tiny bit blurry, but I think that draws your eyes out to where the droplets are. There is not much that I can technically say about this photo other than the thing I said above.
What I think distracts me a bit from the subject of the photo, is unfortunately the border. I see the border first, and then the subject of the photo, whereas you have the border to just frame the subject. Maybe this is one of those instances when a border should have just not been there. I'm not sure. I like the subject, I like your composition, and that is all reflected in the high score I gave you, as well as many others :) Well done for a great photo. |

Peel + B4by redfigComment by lisae: I think this is the best fruit photo in this challenge. The colours are lovely. The composition is a bit too busy though. Perhaps you went in just a teeny bit too tight. |
