Comment by jgillard:
The mouse, I think that is what it is, is really out of focus and distracting to the picture. There is nothing in the picture that is in focus, so it is hard to figure out where you want the viewer to look. jgillard3

Not sure if your subject is the sky or the mountains?

The blurry hills on the right kind of draw my eye from the clouds. The clouds did come out nicely though.

Would lkied this a bit better without the striped marks in the clouds, but otherwise really pretty photo.

I think the blurry object in the front is distracting. Perhaps a larger depth of field would put more of your toys in focus.

Greetings from the Critique Club!!

I noticed that this is your first attempt at DP Challenge. First and foremost, I hope that you will not be frustrated by your finish and not continue with the challenges. My first couple of shots didn't do well either and I have learned so much in my time here.

A couple of fundamental problems with your shot. The biggest seems to be your lighting. It seems to be underexposed which in turn leads to graininess and lack of focus. The red glare on the right is also a big distraction. If I'm not mistaken, the Blue Cards are transparent so you might have shown a light through it to emphasize the blue color.

There is also a reflection of your camera on the card. A definite no-no unless the photo calls for it.

I like the angle that you used although you might want to crop out the number at the bottom. All in all, the card certainly meets the challenge but you needed to bring out the blue color a little to confornm to the scoring. Good luck in future challenges.

the red splotch and the camera reflection distracts from the rainbow effect. use of a polarizing filter might have helped.

Not enough blue in the pic, and the title doesn't really make sense.
