Comment by bobonacus:
Nice pose and composition, I think sharpening her eyes would add a little to this photo

Comment by Lydia:
Well done... except for that odd spot of light under her left eye that distracts me... (not voting yet)

the focus seems more on the lips than the eyes

nice...is that neat Image? I like the red lipstick...not sure about the dull grey background...wonder if black would have worked...lighting is good, nice and even... also the straps are a little messy...just trying to be helpful...

Lighting: 1 overhead 6' softbox. 2 kicker lights at 45 degrees each side. 1 Alien Bee (1600) with beauty-dish for the key light & a Lastolite Tri-lite reflector (tri-flector). I also have two large cutters to stop flare.

Lots of time balancing everything and what not...

I find it interesting that it is very obvious from everyone's comments...who has no idea how to take & evaluate a studio portrait and its lighting techniques. But I think I have fooled everyone with my lighting set-up....and I'm keeping it a secret. ha!

This actually did really well...and I'm happy to see so many people liked it as well. I wish it did better...but my hensel lights in my LR just don't have the same spectral range as the main studio...which I shot GINA in:
