The Lookby nathaliedooComment by mcrael: A very startling photo, and one that is nicely composed. However, to make this really awesome, it must be more crisply focussed. |

Structures of an Old Factoryby nathaliedooComment by crabappl3: Critique Club Comment:
You really have a nice perspective here. The combination of the cold steel with the cool blue sky are a nice combination. Without being able to modify the perspective in post processing, this angle is good. Your decision to square the tunnel at the end works well. My eye is drawn to it and it makes me wonder whats beyond. Your technical skill is good. There are no artifacts or over sharpening problems. I like the colors here, they make me feel small within this structure. I'm not sure a square crop was the best decision here, but you probably chose it to exclude some undesirable building on the right.
You have a strong shot here! Good Job!

The Lookby nathaliedooComment by JPR: Interesting oversaturation of yellow and desaturation of all the others. I like it, others may not. I think its very artistic and I particularly like the rotating reflections and the strong dark eye lashes. 6 |

The Lookby nathaliedooComment by MaYz: Awesome shot! I just wish that it was in focus. I think that if the idea of this shot had taken another approach it would have fit in better. For a macro shot like this a clear focused shot probably works best, but thats just my two cents. Other than that this is a great shot! |

aluby nathaliedooComment by W.R.Miller: This is an interesting shot. Very rhythmic. I love the yellow stripe. I know a lot of people don't like borders but I think this would have looked nice with a thin yellow border. I really like the two colors in this shot. |

Pop Goes Waldo!by nathaliedooComment by zadore: ...from Critique Club...
Ca va Nathalie :) got your picture again...geez :)
FIRST IMPRESSION:
Very colourful!
COMPOSITION:
Not much to say about it. Maybe hiding 'waldo' a bit would have made it more interesting, like under a couple of the other corns :)
TECHNICAL:
Nice job in getting the colours to stand out. your lighting is nice and even. The focus is a bit soft...I wonder if you had a bit of a camera shake with that exposure length(?). :|
ARTISTIC:
Nicely done. I really like the colours. I'm sure you know that some people looked at your shot and thought "geez, another cluttered frame to look at!"...and maybe that's why you got so many 5's (i gave you a 6) :)
Cheers and good luck in the future challenges. |

A Kiss ...by nathaliedooComment by nathaliedoo: Originally posted by Jacko: Excellent one of my favorites this week. Please give us the details of your entry. Loved the high key effect. Jacko. |
Thanks to you and all the other commenters! This shot was done this way: I was a bit at the last minute and couldn't come with a setup so, I wore bright red lipstick and took a macro shot of my mouth. By playing with high saturation and contrats keys I was able to remove all the skin tones leaving the background totally white. Then I rotated the image, stretched the canvas and Voilà ! Is that digital art as someone mentioned? I'm not sure since the image is not really distorted from it's original state...
Hope that answers your questions!
And thanks again for your great comments!
